When we see coral nowadays, we may think it’s bright and beautiful. But that’s because we don’t have anything to compare it with. Once you see the horrendous effects of climate change, you’ll be convinced that humans destroy everything they touch. This is a prime example, taken at the Great Barrier Reef.
It’s a result of a decade of acidification and rising temperatures. We can see what the coral used to look like, vibrant, alive, and colorful, and what it looks like now. It’s completely dead. This is a powerful image that shows us the exact effects of climate change and how horrible it can be (National Geographic).
