The Plank Walk in China earned the nickname the “most dangerous hike in the world.” It’s located on Mount Hua and is certainly one of the most treacherous hikes you could ever embark on. During the trek, hikers walk across planks of wood bolted to the side of a cliff, which reaches up to 7,000 feet in the air. Even though you’re harnessed to the mountain, it’s still incredibly terrfiying. There’s a lot of room for error. If you have a faulty harness and something goes wrong, you would easily and quickly plummet to your death (Business Insider).

The Caminito del Ray is a trail that’s over 100 years old and is one of the most treacherous hikes in Europe, if not in the entire world. The narrow platforms make it notorious for injuries and catastophies, in addition to the lack of handrails and fences while at high altitude. It’s previously earned the label as “the most dangerous hiking trail in the world.” It’s located in Spain and is over seven kilometers long.
