30. Dinosaurs Could Never Exist Today And Humans Couldn’t Exist In Their Time
Millions of years ago when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth, something very special was happening on our amazing planet. We were actually getting an immense level of oxygen. The Earth’s atmosphere was not really affected by humans or even random fires. Therefore, the climate could contain far more oxygen. This special amount allowed reptiles and amphibians to go to larger sizes, as well as many birds.
Today, the oxygen is nowhere near what it was back then, thus keeping them much smaller. Humans, however, could not live among the dinosaurs at all. Our bodies struggle at oxygen levels at the 0.1 to 0.5 bar and up. Oxygen levels were much much higher during the Triassic, Jurassic, and Mesozoic periods. Humans in this level would experience massive lung damage and pressures like this could possibly make our heads explode.
