Russell Crow Isn’t A Fan Of Circumcision
When a baby boy is born, there will be extra skin around the head of his penis which will remain as he ages. Many people have this extra skin removed as it is assumed that removing the foreskin will lead to fewer issues with the penis itself. We’ve successfully proven that circumcision does not really have any effect on genital health for the most part. Yet Russell Crowe seems to be firmly against it, once even calling it barbaric. The practice really comes from Judaism, where it is claimed that God wanted those marching around the Walls of Jericho to be circumcised and the practice grew among Jews after. It is uncertain why non-Jews have continued doing this, other than it just being the assumed right thing to do. While Crowe is not wrong to call the practice odd, it’s certainly not barbaric.
